Thailand has been awere of an importance of changing a type of learning standard from an interval benchmark model to a grade level benchmark model. Therefore teachers have to prepare themselves to cope with such change and to gain more knowledge in order to modify their own school curriculum in a response to a new learning standard mentioned above. To do so, curriculum mapping is one of the good tools that will help teachers examine the alignment between existing learning unit and a new learning standard. The alignment will be examined through an analysis of a particular unit of existing learning object area identified in a curriculum. This method will help teachers look ahead how to modify their existing teaching plan and school curriculum to be consistent with a new learning standard of a grade level benchmark model.
