Education in Thailand at present is Standards Based Education. It means that every school can set up school curriculum by aligning to National Curriculum Framework and concluding with community's need Important characteristics of school curriculum are scope and sequence which reflect knowledge, skill, concept and attitude for children when teachers teach at difference level. Scope ans sequence are tools for teachers to do lesson plans and choose suitable assessment. There are 3 ways to make school curriculum.
1. Start from National Standard and Benchmarks, teachers identifies expected outcomes and focus areas, after that write course syllabus and then make unit plans and lesson plans.
2. School has their own curriculum model such as "School-to-Work Curriculum" or "Quality of Life Curriculum" or "Alternative Curriculum". teachers verifies their unit plans and lesson plans across National Standards and Benchmarks.
3. Teachers adapt former school curriculum by aligning to National Standards and Benchmarks.
Developing school curriculum is not to be hard like many teachers think. Teachers can develop school curriculum by analyzing topics and expected outcomes. Curriculum mapping is a kind of instrument that teacher can use when they want to develop curriculum. Developing school curriculum is particularly jobs of teachers
