คำอธิบาย / บทคัดย่อ The objectives of the research were to study the physical fitness, emotional quotient and correlation between physical fitness and emotional quotient of lower secondary school students, Chiang Mai University Demonstration School. The samples were 116 students consisted of 85 females and 31 males. The Emotional Quotient data were collected by emotional quotient test for teenage (12-15 years olds) from Department of Mental Health, Ministry of Public Health and in-depth interview by psychologist and physical fitness test consisted of strength of arm muscles, strength of leg muscles, volume of oxygen retake, muscle flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. Data were analyzed in term of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and population mean of 95% confidence interval and correlation. The result revealed that: 1. Physical fitness 1.1 Strength of arm muscles of male students were found at poor level and 12-15 years old female students were found at average to poor level. 1.2 Strength of leg muscles of male and female students were found to poor level. 1.3 Volume of oxygen uptake of male and female students were found at average to high level. 1.4 Muscle flexibility were found at average level except 15 years old students were found at excellent level. 1.5 Cardiovascular endurance were found at average level except, 12 -13 years old male students were found at poor level and 12 years old female students were found at low level. 2. Emotional Quotient Emotional Quotient test showed that they could be to control emotion and need at normal to high level. 3. There was no correlation between physical fitness and emotional quotiest.
