The objective of this research was to study the attitude and opinions of secondary students in Chiang Mai toward furthering study in vocational education track. The samples used in this study in this study were 1,368 students, 796 males and 572 females. The data were collected by a questionnaires asking student’ attitude and opinions. The data were analyzed through uses of percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The findings of this research were that the majority of students themselves, about 81.10% would choose to study vocational education track. The major they choose most was industrial education. The reasons they choose this major because the like it and industrial knowledge could be used for their living at the percentage of 28.10 and 27.40, respectively. As for the students’ opinions on the management of teaching and learning in vocational education, they expressed that they gained direct experiences (x ?=4.33), and they earned specific job skills (x ?=4.37). In addition. Institute of vocational would and have high technological instructional media (x ?=4.54). However, as a whole, the students would choose to study vocational educations because they can use this know knowledge as their occupation.
